About us

I am qualified and experienced P.E. teacher and swimming teacher based in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Having been around the water all my life I have developed a passion in teaching swimming specially to young children. The reward of seeing children happy is what brought me to create Happyswimming, a philosophy of teaching, and Swim a Story, a methodology that uses storytelling with the idea and vision of developing and finding ways to adapt teaching swimming to the times we are living in.

We consider water as a tool to teach much more than strokes and skills. Our teaching philosophy is a learner-centered and holistic approach creating progressive activities and drills in a safe and fun environment for the learner. We cater for all levels and abilities and aim to achieve the best from each individual.  Body awareness also lies at the core of my teaching.

We offer services for swimming pools wishing to implement this methodology to create more efficient and happy results for everyone involved in this teaching-learning process are also offered.

We use a gentle, unique and personal approach that allows learners to progress at their own pace, maximizing learning, while enjoying their experience in the water.
